Space Data Recorder (SDR)

Space Data Recorder (SDR) is a key payload device which compresses, stores, encrypts, and encodes high-resolution large imaging data obtained from the scanning sensor (EO: Electro optic, IR: Infrared, SAR: Synthetic Aperture Radar) mounted on the observation satellite, and transmits it to the ground.

Resolution of images acquired from scanning sensors are increasing significantly with advancement in satellite technology, and performance of the SDR also continues to improve. Asia Pacific Satellite Inc. applies new technology to develop the Space Data Recorder(SDR) to support improved mission execution of observation satellites.

SDR of Asia Pacific Satellite Inc. is divided into SDRAM-based and NAND flash memory-based products and it is an optimal solution for satellite mission support
